Our Services

Lifetime Breeding

All purchased females receive free breedings to any of our herdsires for as long as you own the originally purchased female. What better way to show our commitment to customer support than by offering continued breeding services for as long as you own the animals you purchased from us.

Alpaca Sales and Customer Support

  • Farm start-up advice and support.
  • Heard health and maintenance training including medical chart templates and nutrition.
  • Fence and barn layout advice.
  • A basic understanding of the tax advantages of starting an alpaca farm and more specifically the programs available to help farmers in Pennsylvania (Yes, alpacas are considered livestock in Pennsylvania). We can help you understand the programs that might help reduce and/or acquire the necessary capital to purchase alpacas.
  • Halter show training and advice. We can help you learn to show your own animals and/or we will gladly show your animals at any shows we may be attending.
  • Fiber consulting. Understanding the important aspects of fleece characteristics and production metrics is probably the most important skill that any alpaca breeder can acquire. We will do our best to help you understand and collect important fleece characteristics and how best to prepare, collect, and skirt your alpaca fleeces for maximum return and/or for fleece shows. As a customer you are welcome to bring your animals to our farm for shearing in the spring.
  • We can help you make breeding decisions based upon currently known color genetics and other genetically heritable characteristics.
  • Free board for 6 months. We know it can take time to setup a farm.
  • We know we probably have not covered all aspects that would be important to new or established alpaca breeders so if there is a service that is important to you please ask as we may be able to offer it to you.

Shearing Services

Shearmaster (Well not really!) :  Mark Widder

I learned to shear a few years ago so that I could shear my own herd.  I found that I enjoyed shearing and have sheared for a few local farms.  If you are in need of a shearer for your herd or for cria tipping give a me call.  My goal is to shear to the customers liking and shear with the greatest concern for the well being of the alpacas and their owners.  My fees are usually $20 to $25 per alpaca depending on the number of animals and I may or may not charge a setup fee based upon your distance of travel.

Farm Store

We have a complete farm store with many products made from our own animals as well as othera made in the USA and imported from Peru.  Stop by for a unique shopping experience with opportunity to see the many exquisite products that can be made with alpaca.  It's warm in the winter and will keep you dry and comfortable in the summer and year round.  I wear my alpaca socks year round.
